More news has recently emerged reagrding the new Apple-financed Formula 1 film ‘F1’. F1 will open in movie theaters and IMAX in June 2025. The supercharged film will feature film stars Brad Pitt, who plays a former driver who returns to the sport, alongside Damson Idris as his teammate at APXGP, a fictional team on the grid.
The director of the film is Joseph Kosinski, who made the Top Gun Maverick reboot, and is produced by Jerry Bruckheimer along with input from Lewis Hamilton. Made in collaboration with Formula 1, the new movie is immersed in the cinematic world of Grand Prix racing, with scenes shot at various races across the 2023 and 2024 seasons.
The film also stars Kerry Condon, Javier Bardem, Tobias Menzies, Sarah Niles, Kim Bosnia and Samson Kayo.
