South Florida Motorsports (SFM), the organizers of the Formula 1 Crypto.com Miami Grand Prix, welcome the news that the Porsche Deluxe Carrera Cup North America will return as a support category for next year’s race on May 3-5, 2024. The announcement was made following the confirmation of the 2024 series calendar.
Attracting the best Pro, Pro-Am and Amateur sportscar drivers from North America and around the world, the Porsche Deluxe Carrera Cup North America is the premier one-make championship on the continent, with drivers competing in identical Porsche 911 GT3 Cup race cars. The spectacularly styled machinery, capable of producing around 375 KW (510 HP) is based on the current 922 generation and is the first one-make cup racer of the German sportscar manufacturer to feature a wide turbo spec body.
A total of 47 drivers competed in Porsche Deluxe Carrera Cup North America last year and the series races at some of the biggest events on the North American motorsports calendar, including the 12 Hours of Sebring, the Long Beach Grand Prix and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Next May, the Miami International Autodrome will host round two of the 2024 championship.
The addition of Porsche Deluxe Carrera Cup North America, along with the F1 Academy will bring more track action to the Formula 1 Crypto.com Miami Grand Prix and with over 240,000 spectators descending on Miami Gardens in each of the previous two events — fans will get the chance to enjoy two new areas to experience the action at the Miami International Autodrome in 2024.
The new luxury products include the Vista at Turn 1 and The Villas, located at the first corner of the circuit. Based on high demand, the new 2024 Villa options can accommodate 20 guests with an unrivalled view of Turns 1 and 2. The Vista at Turn 1 offers an incredible experience and is surrounded by some of the most luxurious areas on the Miami Campus. These private, climate-controlled suites with shaded viewing, offering world-class food and beverages, are extremely popular and provide one of the most exciting viewing experiences of the racetrack.
